Kroeger Residence

This private residence and gardens were designed by Keith Kroeger of the eponymous architectural office now Kroeger Intinarelli Architects. The art-filled home is situated on four acres, offering views of a constantly changing meadow and woodland landscape.

The site is a configuration of three gabled buildings connected by outdoor rooms. High garden walls create distinct spaces such as a gravel parking court, an interior courtyard featuring a cluster of pollarded little leaf lindens, a pool and loggia surrounded by thriving clouds of yew, and an allée of crab apple trees. The home with its generous windows and heavily planted walls create an uninterrupted connection to nature. The ivy covered studio served as the architectural office for many creative and productive years.
